Noor e Islam does not collect personal data. There is no account to create and no analytics. Your location is used on your device to work out prayer times and the qibla; the one thing sent to our server is a coordinate, to name your city, and it is not kept.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or any identifier that could be used to recognise you. The app has no sign-in, no user profile, and no analytics or crash-reporting services.
Prayer times and the qibla direction depend on where you are. The app uses your device's location, or a city you pick by hand, to calculate them on the device itself.
To show a city name, the app sends the coordinate to our own server, which answers with the nearest place name. When you search for a city, the text you type is sent the same way. Neither request carries anything that identifies you, and we do not store the coordinates or searches.
If you decline location access, you can choose a city yourself and everything works the same.
The app saves your data locally so it is there when you return. It stays in the app's private storage and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:
Uninstalling the app removes all of it. Because nothing is stored on a server, it cannot be recovered afterwards.
To calculate prayer times and the qibla for where you are, and to name your city. Used only while you use the app.
To show the prayer, dhikr and reading reminders you switch on. Reminders stay off until you enable them.
So a reminder arrives at the time of the prayer, rather than whenever the system next wakes the app.
Only if you turn on Prayer Focus with the Silent option, so the phone can be silenced during a prayer window and restored afterwards. Nothing is read from your notifications.
Optional. Some phones stop background apps aggressively, which silently drops reminders; the app offers this setting only if you want reminders to be reliable, and works without it.
To restore your scheduled reminders after the device restarts, which would otherwise clear them.
Only to save an ayah image you create in Studio to your gallery. The app can add pictures; it cannot read or browse the ones already there.
To name your city, to search for one, and to fetch Studio backgrounds from our server. Nothing else goes online.
Reminders and prayer times are generated entirely on your device. No reminder, and nothing about which prayers you track, is sent anywhere.
Studio's background photos are downloaded from our server when you choose them, like any web image. The request carries no identifier beyond what every internet connection carries. Images you create are made on your device and saved to your gallery or passed to the app you share with; we never receive a copy.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking software, and no third-party accounts or services. The only server it talks to is ours. Nothing is shared or sold.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
If the app ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised before that feature is released.
